Actually I haven’t gone fishing. However, that is the title of the above oil painting that I just completed, and it does capture the bucolic sensibility that I have been experiencing all week in the mountains. Besides being up here doing lots of training and preparing for the Camino, I also brought my painting supplies and got to do some “playing.” The painting is on an 11″ x 14″ prepared board, and was done from an online reference photo. Soon though I will not have my paints, and only a small sketchbook with which to slake my artistic hunger.
Training is going well up here though! I have been out every morning with a full pack, starting my day with a long walk. This morning I did 10.003 miles and 19,444 steps in 3 hours and I felt great – no aches in any joints or hot-spots on my feet! I can’t wait to see how this feels at sea level instead of 9,500 ft!
One more photo I took last night, as I took time to watch the sun go to bed.

This is beautiful!👏👏
