Yesterday cell and data service was down at the cabin I am staying at this week. That was fine, but it meant I couldn’t upload some wonderful images God gave me the privilege of witnessing yesterday and then capturing with my camera. The shot above was taken on my early morning walk of 5 miles. I decided to do the walk fully loaded with my Camino pack, which is I am guessing 25 lbs. including my “big-boy” camera and travel tripod. It felt great but I found myself huffing and puffing. Fortunately on the Camino, we won’t be walking at 9,500 ft above sea level, but it makes for great training!

These other shots were taken on my evening walk. It was right at the end of that walk that I spotted the mama fox. She was working really hard to get my attention and lead me away from her den of 3 pups. However, my path home led me that direction. What a blessing to watch the Creator’s wonderful work from a safe distance! Hmmm…maybe with cell service down all day, my senses became more in tune with being present to the true reality of what is around me – just a thought.
